Remember the pancakes?
How I said I was through with it?

Not to be outdone by my own crushing boredom, I came across another random recipe and decided to give it a whirl!
Not pancakes though. No more pancakes.

This recipe was introduced to me as a faux-Royce chocolate recipe. Royce makes the BEST nama-chocolates (literally, raw chocolate) I have EVER eaten. And I have have eaten chocolates in 3 different countries and eaten imports from at least 5 others.
A truly simple recipe, deceptively simple even - the longest and hardest part being shaving 200 grams of chocolate. (It's a lot.)

After you melt it down, pour it in the pan and let it chill you have something very nice and harmless looking like this.

I dusted both sides with cocoa powder to help the cookie cutter.

After considerable arm wrestling, I managed a very nice cutout.
pretty.

Removing it from the mold, however, was a different story.
Or actually, just like the one before.

Second try!
Stuck it in the freezer to chill it down even more. That first try stamped in nicely but then stuck to the mold, sometime even melting to it as I pushed it out. (Think of nama-chocolate as the ANTI-m&m.)
So the second try delivered...

Yeah, turned out worse.
So what is left to do?
The chocolate-version of that Xmas classic, stained glass:

Delicious, but sadly not a ferret to be seen.

Cheers and see you again! (^_-)-♪
