Responses from Whole/Natural Food Suppliers

I think many of us forgot or just didn't make the connection (like myself), but it is also recommended that IF YOU USE WHOLE PREY, contact your supplier and inquiry into the status of what they are feeding their rabbits/quail/mice. Has their food been cleared or are they feeding contaminated food to the prey animals that you are buying and then feeding to your little guys??

As more suppliers respond, more replies will be posted.

RodentPro has responded to inquires with this statement:
Thanks for the email though the contaminated feed did not affect our supplies at all.
You can feed our products without any worries. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to be of assistance.
Thanks,

Wysong has posted this statement on their site:

I am currently awaiting a response to my inquiry about what they feed the animals that go into their products. (Like secondhand smoke, secondhand contamination.)

AFS has posted a statement on their site:
Click here. Then click on Press Releases. Midway down there is one entitled, "NO Gluten In AFS Products"

I am currently awaiting a response to my inquiry about what they feed the animals that go into their products. (Like secondhand smoke, secondhand contamination.) They post under the INGREDIENTS tab that their food is made from free-range beef and chicken, but what that exactly means, I do not know. Is it a general, loose statement, or are they officially sanctioned "free-range" under what is defined by the law?

Other statements include:
Product ingredients are procured from a USDA certified meat processing plant in Northeastern Wisconsin (actually, within the same business complex as AFS), and manufactured using human grade environmental controls for the purpose of maintaining superior pet food product quality and freshness.
